Abstract
World Economic Fluctuation Theory (Volume I) consisting of four chapters expounds the transmission mechanism of the periodic and non-periodic fluctuation in the world economy. To begin with, the book looks through the existing theories on economic cycle both at home and abroad, discusses the theories on economic cycle and world economic cycle emerging in the context of “new economy”and conducts a research on the effect of non-periodic fluctuation on the periodic fluctuation as well as countries dominating world economic cycles and other issues. Then the book, by using empirical analysis, analyzes formation mechanism, transmission mechanism and international coordinating mechanism of the world economic periodic and non-periodic fluctuation. After analyzing the relevance between economic fluctuation and financial transmission in the period of “weak correlation”, the book concludes that world economy trend would be the integration of world economic development and financial transmission. Furthermore, it analyzes the interaction between world economic periodic and non-periodic fluctuation and financial transmission from the perspectives of financial transmission mechanism, financial transmission effects and historical financial crises. Last, the book analyzes the relations between world economic fluctuation and international trade, and the interaction between world economic fluctuation and China economy from the perspective of international trade transmission.
World Economic Fluctuation Theory (Volume I) is targeted at scholars specializing in world economy research and can also be used as reference by government decision-making agencies.
About Author
Li Tiande, male, from Zhengzhou, Henan Province, holding a Doctor degree in economics, is a professor and doctoral advisor and former Dean of School of Economics of Sichuan University. Now acting as Honorary Dean of Economics School of Sichuan University, he is an expert granted with the State Council Special Allowance, a member of appraisal panel of experts for National Social Sciences Fund, a member of economics teaching guidance committee of Ministry of Education, among Sichuan technology and academic leaders and Sichuan provincial experts with outstanding contribution, a member of advisory committee for policy decision for CPC Sichuan Committee and Sichuan Provincial Government, a member of advisory committee for policy decision for Chengdu Municipal Government, Vice Secretary General of China Society of World Economics, Executive Director of Chinese Association for European Studies, President of Sichuan Society of World Economics, President of Academy of Macroeconomic Research of Sichuan University, Director of Western China Financial Research Center of Sichuan University and Director of Institute for World Economy Study. His research fields include macro economy, world economy and finance theory.
