2017 Chinese Social Governance Fifty People Forum was held in Southwestern University of Finance and Economics on June 10th. It was sponsored by Chinese Social Governance Research Academy and College of Social Sciences of Tsinghua University, organized by Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, People’s Government of Jinjiang District, Chengdu and co-organized by Sichuan Public Policy Innovation Research Center. Experts and scholars got together and had discussion.
It was introduced that Chinese Social Governance Fifty People Forum was founded by Chinese Social Governance Research Academy and Tsinghua University. The first forum was held in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, the second forum was held in Tsinghua University and this is the third forum. For the purpose of promoting social governance innovation and social development progress, the forum follows the principle of public welfare, academic nature and guiding characteristics and sticks to academic discussion and policy research in order to promote Chinese social governance innovation and social development progress.
In the main forum of the seminar, scholars gave their opinions on “olive shape” society and middle-income group, social management and social governance, economic reflections on social governance, national governance and social construction, etc.
Seminar in the afternoon of June 10th was divided into 3 sub-forums. Scholars expressed their opinions around the themes of sub-forums “Government and Social Governance Under the Global Development Perspective”, “China Urban and Rural Community Governance in the Transformation Development” and “Policy Choice of Sustainable Development Strategy Frame”.
Moreover, scholars investigated relevant communities of Jinjiang District and had discussion. It was introduced that scholars participating in this forum come from Tsinghua University, Peking University , Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Zhejiang University, Sichuan University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, etc.
