The seminar for study on construction of Tibetan, Qiang, Yi culture corridor held in Chengdu

On June 10th 2017, the seminar for study on construction of Tibetan, Qiang, Yi culture corridor was held in Chengdu. The seminar was presided by Mr. Zhao Hongchuan, the deputy director of Cultural Department of Sichuan Province, Mr. Qi Bin, vice director of Cultural Industry Department of the Ministry of Culture, and relevant responsible leaders from Culture Departments of Guizhou Province, Gansu Province, Shaanxi Province, Yunnan, Tibet, Qinghai and other provinces (regions) attend the seminar.

In the seminar, the leaders from Culture Departments of seven western provinces (regions) discussed culture corridor construction. Yuan Wei, Deputy director of the Department of culture of Guizhou Province, said Guizhou Province will attach great importance to focus on brand, system development to promote the development of cultural industry with the brand and boost the cultural tourism. He suggested that the seven provinces (regions) should hold together to form a joint force. Zhu Yulan, deputy director of Department of culture of Gansu Province, introduces that the culture industry development situation of Gansu province Tibetan, Qiang, Yi and other development proposals. She believes that a mechanism should be established for the good implementation and the industrial chain built from the talent, projects, funds and other aspects.

Mr. Qi Bin said the western provinces (regions) face the problems of mechanism, finance, technology and other aspects for construction of culture corridor, and the Ministry of culture will actively support and help the related provinces.

Mr. Chen Jing’an, the deputy secretary of the Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences’ committee of CPC, said that Tibetan, Yi, Qiang culture corridor is a pluralism and the overall linkage corridor, which has an important strategic position and carries the responsibility of national and regional development. He suggested that the seven provinces (regions) should continue to explore their own natural resources, cultural characteristics, historical heritage to demonstrate the characteristics and achieve the differential development.

Mr. Zhao Hongchuan, the deputy director of Cultural Department of Sichuan Province, pointed out that this is a significant study seminar, which has reached three broad consensus, the first is to deepen the existing consensus, the second is to form a consensus for the core of cultural content, and the third is to form a consensus for cooperation and construction.
