Abstract: Using the data of Chinese General Social Survey (CGSS2010), the paper empirically analyzes the influence of employment quality on residents'sense of happiness. Empirical research shows that working hours per week, flexibility of work, job income and insurance contract have significant influences on the subjective happiness feeling of residents, while the influence of labor contract is insignificant. However, except working hours per week, which has general influence on the sense of happiness of residents, the influences of all the other factors on residents'sense of happiness have significant regional differences. Based on the conclusions of the empirical analysis, countermeasures and suggestions on how to improve and promote residents' sense of happiness are given from four aspects including confirmed working hours, employment system, income distribution reform, and social security system.
