In his speech, Professor Li Houqiang thanked the Provincial Think Tank Office for its trust, attention and support, and welcomed all the leaders and experts. He emphasized that SASS has paid high attention to the development of provincial new think tank, and has been able to make five "no" in the work.
One is to accept tasks without prevarication. The tasks assigned by the provincial party committee are resolutely carried out by SASS. Second is to do investigation without perfunctoriness. The investigation has to be carefully planned, and the research topic has to be representative and typical.
Third is to write report without carelessness. The project reports, no matter from the outline to the point of view or from the argument to the suggestion, should be discussed by experts from SASS or other institutes to ensure the quality of the results.
Fourth is to ensure the logistics support without slackness. For the building of new provincial think tank, SASS has developed a specific form of management, and all the resources that are needed in the construction are provided from the entire academy, offering adequate logistical support.
Fifth is to have the political attitude without vagueness. The most important aspect of think tank study is political orientation. It is important to know who is serving and what should be done. We should strengthen the "Four Consciousness" and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to the whole process of researches.
Heads of all provincial new think tanks exchanged information on the development of the think tank and the project research, and made some suggestions on how to improve the quality of think tank research and the management of innovative think tanks.
Mr Jing Maoming expressed his appreciation to the achievements of construction of think tanks and project research and introduced the arrangement and ideas on the platform building, personnel training, achievements transformation by Provincial Think Tank Office for the next step. He hoped that all think-tanks can seize the rare opportunity of development and make fruitful and valuable achievements to provide strong support for the decision-making of the provincial government.
