The Seventh International Academic Seminar of Chinese Local King System and Local King Culture was held in Southwest Minzu University on November 4th. Themed by “Chinese Local King System and Local King Culture and Its World Heritage Protection and Utilization Research”, the seminar discussed four sub-themes, including local king system and culture research, local king system and local social governance research, local culture heritage protection and utilization research, local king culture and architecture heritage in Sichuan, Pinwu, through the forms of opening ceremony, keynote speech, team discussion, closing ceremony and so on. It will leave important and active influence on the research and development of Chinese local king system and culture.
135 experts participated in this seminar and submitted more than 120 papers for it. The seminar is aimed at providing high-level exchange and cooperation platform for Southwest Minzu University and foreign and domestic experts, promoting local king cultural heritage protection and utilization and the spread of Chinese history and culture, meanwhile, and further drive the in-depth development of Chinese ethnic history and ethnic culture, ethnic theory and policy research.
It is noteworthy that the Baoen Temple in Mianyang, Pinwu, as one of the representatives of Sichuan local king culture and architecture, plans to apply for the World Cultural Heritage. Jin Chao, Deputy Director of Pinwu County, introduced that as the best-preserved Ming dynasty palace-styled and Buddhist temple building complex, Baoen Temple is a typical representative of ancient history, culture, religion and art heritage of Pinwu County. Started in 1440, the Temple has a history of more than 560 years. He hopes seminar could become a friendly bridge for the scholar.
It is introduced that the International Academic Seminar of Chinese Local King System and Local King Culture was established in 2011 and has been held for six times. The seminar has become the biggest academic platform for the exchange of foreign and domestic researchers on local king system and culture and this time is the seventh of the seminar.
